The Pilot was the first I ever saw. I may have seen a few with my sister way back in '96 but I don't remember. Anyways in the first season I disliked Joey for some reason but now he's my 2nd fav character. :D

Funny story! I was in RS (religious studies) and we had a supply teacher. He gave us a little work to do and then said that we could watch Friends after. At that time I'd never seen it before but it was TOW Ross got married (London). I thought it was hilarious! Anyway the very same episode was on that Friday night (on first run) and ever since then I was totally hooked! I've seen them all now thanks to DVD and Channel 4!
I don't know when I started liking them but I really didn't like Phoebe and Chandler at first. I thought Phoebe was too weird and Chandler was too over the top. Now I love them for exactly that reason!

I remember Sky 1 or Channel4 (i can't remember which one) was in the middle of season 2, 8 or 9 years ago, I was 4 but it was before TOA the Superbowl, coz i remember very clearly watching that episode when it was brand new, anyway RTÉ was at the end of season 1 and my sister's friend had showed her this show called Friends, and she was like this is a really good show, and then the next Monday, TOW Rachel Finds Out was on brand new on RTÉ 2 and she was like telling my brother, about this great show, and I remember my sister was babysitting me, and took me out of bed and brought me downstairs, I saw this show and thought jokes that I got were funny, and ever since then I've loved this show, it's always been part of my life, I can't remember my life without Friends, I've been an OBSESSED fan for about a year now

I remember watching part of the one where Ross & Rachel broke up... back in like '96. I was 9, and had seen a lot of ads for it, i was watching it and I was like "This is so boring, why is there hype over this!" LOL. But like a year later, I watched the one where Ben walks for the 1st time, Ross & Rachel say "I love you," etc. that one! Hehe. Then I was permantely hooked!

uhhh, that's a really long time ago, it must be at least 9 years already. It was TOW Nana Dies Twice because I remember Ross talking to Rachel that he likes her the best and so on... It was a really interesting episode but I didn't get hooked until few months later.

Me too *lol*!
But I watched this episode in 2000!
I actually didn't get into Friends until really late. Of course, I'd hear people talking about it all the time and stuff, but for some wierd reason I'd never actually watched a full episode, right up 'til the end of Season 9. (I actually used to think that Ross was Chandler and vise-versa, could I be any more stupid?)
It was about a month before Season 10 was due to air in the UK, and my sister, a Friends fan for much longer than me, had bought the Season 9 DVDs. I was bored, not much to do, and just kinda got watching. It was TOW The Lottery (I think that's it's name?). I was just hooked, I found it so funny - I saw a piece of myself in every one of the characters and that was it, the (healthy) obsession began!
Since then, I've bought every Seasons boxset and have now seen pretty much every episode (there's still a few Season 5 ones I'm yet to see, but I'm working my way through that season right now). I actually regret kinda 'dismissing' it for so long, and not getting into Friends much earlier. But I felt strongly enough about it in a short period of time that I cried just as many tears as anyone at the finale! I'm not even ashamed to admit it!

Oh I remember it alright.... my parents wanted to watch something else on then my sister who right now is 24 years old said, no there's supposed to be a pilot on tonight for this one show that I want to check out. So of course my sister won and I watched it with her. Well...... i immidiatlly got hooked on the show. I didn't even get most of the jokes but my sister watched it every weekend and I watched it with her. By the third season I would put on play's for my parents just with me reciting my favorite lines from "Friends". They would laugh soooo hard, mainly because they knew that I didn't even understand what most of the jokes meant, like the jokes on sex and all, lol! But I continued to enjoy it right up until the end. So now that I've gotten a bunch of my friends hooked on it at school and all of my teachers watched it, they call me the "Friends" person at are school, because my teachers say that I'm the youngest and I've watched it the longest, lol!:04: :03:

Plus, I was the first person to buy all of the dvd's too. I missed part of a day of school because I was up so late the night season eight came out. I went to "Hastings" and stood outside for three hours until they opened the doors and I was the first person in my little town of Prescott, AZ to buy "Friends" season eight!! I was so proud of myself! It was like such an accomplishment for me, lol! :P :04:

Actually, my memory sucks too, lol!:P I just have heard allot of stories from my family about it over the years, (were all huge "Friends" fans) and of course my aunt had to share this information when we were with Matthew one day and I'm sure that she's told Jen too, lol! And I also do remember pretty much everything that has to do with "Friends", that's like the only part of my brain that actually works, lol!:03:

I don't remember which was the first episode I ever saw, but I remember the first promo I ever saw was when the UPN station in Minneapolis (back when I lived in Minnesota) starting to run Friends reruns. It was the scene from "The One Where Heckles Dies" where Joey talks about this girl he started seeing when he first got to the city. "She" was really hot, but she had this huuuge Adam's apple.
I do remember that the first non-rerun, new episode I saw was "The One With Joey's Bag," mainly because I remember Monica's horrendous massage in the beginning of the episode.

Sadly it was TOW Ross' Thing followed by TOW The Ultamite Fighting Champion (Double Bill you see)
I loved it but had only really been Channel Flicking and didnt even know it was the "famous Friends" that i had heard everyone talk about.
A few days/weeks later i saw TOW Ross' Wedding and was hooked. Caught up with the show by watching Seasons 1-4 on VHS over the summer before Series 5 began.
Hate to admit it but when people first started talking about friends it sounded lke a load of c**p and didnt interest me in the slightest. I now own every episode and have proberbaly seen each one a minimum of ten times. Im even watching it all the way though (for about the 30th time) now, currently just past mid way through series 4.
So yeah that one faithfull night Channel Flicking led me to become a Friends Addict!
