"He tried to kiss me, but I shied away," April Florio, 22, is quoted as telling Us Weekly, which claims the aspiring actress hung out with Jennifer Aniston (http://entertainment.msn.com/celebs/celeb.aspx?c=186410)'s estranged half in Greece (for three days last August), New York, and Los Angeles. "He was shocked [by the rejection] ... He asked me why ... I told him ... I did not want to get involved with someone in the industry."
A wannabe starlet who doesn't "want to get involved" with someone in Hollywood, not even if that someone is Brad Pitt? Huh. That's gotta be a first.
Anyhoo, the article also details Florio's alleged heart-to-hearts with the megastar about his shaky marriage to Aniston, for whom he tossed a star-studded 36th birthday bash at their Beverly Hills mansion on Saturday.
"He hated his wife's chain-smoking," she says in the mag, although Brad, after a brief nicotine break while filming "Troy (http://entertainment.msn.com/movies/movie.aspx?m=544320)," remains a fan of the cancer sticks. "He also hated the fact that she liked to hang with her friends or just stay at home. He liked to go to parties more." As for Angelina Jolie, she says Pitt "talked about her like she was a goddess."
While Us has photos it purports to be of Pitt and Florio together in Greece, both the A-lister and the previously no-name model use the f-word -- fabricated -- to describe the story.
"The direct quotes that are supposedly from me in the magazine article are totally fabricated," Florio asserts to Star. "That is not me in the photographs of a woman with Brad Pitt in Greece in 2004. And I'm not even sure it's Brad Pitt, either. I met Brad Pitt only once, very briefly, at a party. Would he remember me? Probably not."
Pitt's people, meanwhile, are already threatening legal action over the story. "Brad has never been in Greece, and is not the person in those photographs in Greece," his legal eagle tells Star. "Brad does not know April Florio. He has never had dinner with her. He is not acquainted with her. Could he possibly have met her at some time? Maybe, because he meets so many people, but he does not ever recall meeting her. And he has certainly never had dinner and drinks with her. We don't really know who is responsible for these stupid, absolutely untrue, fabricated stories. For now, Brad is exploring all his legal options."
Us says it stands by the article.
In related (and less controversial) news, Pitt is going meta. The Hollywood Reporter says he's attached to star in the reality-bending comedy "Chad Schmidt." The story centers on a talented actor whose dreams of Hollywood fame and fortune are crushed by Pitt's meteoric rise to stardom. The problem? Schmidt and Pitt look exactly alike.
