Theme songs

It's very clear, to be a hit TV show you have to have a good theme song. I can't think of any hit TV show that has'nt had one, except for Seinfeld, but if I'm not mistaking they did'nt have one at all.

The hit shows that do have great theme songs are among others Friends, Dawson's Creek, Baywatch, Melrose Place, Beverly Hills, Saved By The Bell...

What else can you think of, and can you think of a hit show that did'nt have a good theme song?

Yeah, I love the O.C. theme song, maybe cause I'm partial to Phantom Planet.

I also like the One Tree Hill one. Of course, one of my favorites is Friends, and the Joey one's not bad either.

Also I really really like the Scrubs theme song - Superman.

I can't do this all on my own...I'm no..I'm no Superman.

Friends (I'll Be There For You, Rembrandts), Gilmore Girls (Where You Lead, King), Dawson's Creek (I Don't Want to Wait, Cole), and Will & Grace.

There's so many. I like some theme songs and don't even like the show! But yeah, Friends, Joey, Will and Grace...always makes me want to get up and dance, Third Watch, Haha Law & Order, Reno 911, Growing Up Gotti, Happy Days, Roseanne, Fresh Prince, Bewitched, I Love Lucy, Golden Girls, Laverne & Sherly, Scooby Doo (lol), X-Files...and one I hated...All In The Family.

I also like Friends, Joey, Full House, Step By Step, Family Matters, Party of Five, Beverly Hills 90210, The Cosby Show, Dawson's Creek, Growing Pains, Boy Meets World, Smart Guy, Gilmore Girls, Saved by the bell, Mad about you, Sex in the city, Rosanne, Brady Bunch, Wil and Grace, so on. And HEY were all forgetting number one Cheers!!!!

THE FRESH PRINCE OF BEL-AIR

Used to LOVE that Saved By The Bell theme tune (what was I thinking lol!)

I know it sounds weird, but I loved the old theme tune for Casualty (then they made it rubbish). The Holby theme tune was pretty good too.

And it's not a TV show, but I love the theme tune for the Thorpe Park ride Colossus (Thorpe Park, as you can see from the banner, another interest outside of Friends lol). I downloaded it from the net and play it all the time! It's great how these tunes remind you of great times (in my case both work and pleasure!) which is probably why I get sad everytime I hear a song used on Friends.

Okay, Desperate Houswives is undoubtedly a VERY successful show thus far, but I'm not a big fan of the theme song, though the stuff that goes along with it is hilarious.

Friends is the ultimate - but i loved Saved By The Bell, Boy Meets World (classic ;)), will & grace, Ally Mcbeals, & Seinfeld didnt have a theme tune as such just that 'dum di dum dum dum, dum dum' music - but that counts!
