I thought I should let you know, of a feature probably most of you are not using, that lets you always be updated of new threads on the forum, called RSS feed.
You can use it in many ways, to always be notified of recent threads on the forums.
How can you use it?

1. Using FireFox (http://www.spreadfirefox.com/?q=affiliates&id=77920&t=55) Live Bookmark:
If you're using FireFox browser (http://www.spreadfirefox.com/?q=affiliates&id=77920&t=55), you should be able to see a Live bookmark icon on the buttom right of the browser, that looks like that: http://www.mozilla.org/images/screen-firefox-rss-icon.png. click on it, and then click "Subscribe to Friendscafe Forums". then, you will probably wanna add it to your "Personal toolbar folder" (or "Bookmarks toolbar folder", in older versions) so you would always be able to view it. after adding it, you will be able to see it on the links bar, and by clicking it you will see the recent threads on the forums.

2. Using Trillian Pro RSS/News Plugin
If you're using Trillian Pro, you can get an RSS plugin (http://www.trillian.cc/downloads/pl_download.php?id=140), and add Friendscafe's RSS feed to it.
to do it, after getting the RSS plugin, go to Trillian Preferences>Plugins>News>Change>Add Custom feed. type the following details:
Name: Friendscafe forums / FCF, or anything you want.
Server: www.friendscafe.org (http://www.friendscafe.org)
Location: /forum/external.php?type=rss2
you can also check "Alert me via popup when a new item is available"
Press ok, and it should add it, and update when threads are posted.

If you're using Miranda-IM,y ou can do the same, by getting the RSS plugin. (http://miranda-im.org/download/details.php?action=viewfile&id=409)

4. Using an External software
If you don't have any of the above softwares, you can just install an RSS reader software, such as SharpReader. (http://www.sharpreader.net/)
It might be the best way to use RSS, because this software runs in the background all the time, and will always let you know of new threads.
To use it, download the software, install it, and in "Address", type http://www.friendscafe.org/forum/external.php?type=rss2, and click Subscribe.

You can add the forum RSS feed to My Yahoo! by clicking here (http://e.my.yahoo.com/config/promo_content?.module=ycontent&.url=http://www.friendscafe.org/forum/external.php?type=rss2)
