I find it so distasteful when people smoke, I know over half of Hollywood smokes, and I think it's just sad that they use staying skinny as an excuse for somking, there are other ways you know.

It might be true that no one can influence others to smoke, and it's their own decision (although I really think that's not true..) However, it does influence in a different way. It makes the people surrounding the smoker inhale disgusting "air" I hate that when I go out I inhale the smoke and it's disgusting smell sticks to my clothes and hair... ugh! sooo gross!

LOL yeah people who smoke smell bad all the time!!! Their clothes, their hair, their breath, their hands!
I don't know why people do it anyway, nothing good comes out of it. Yeah, it might speed up your metabolism and make you look thinner, but there are other ways to speed up your metabolism (i.e. eating a little every 2 hours or so, working out, going for fast walks, etc) and the consequences of smoking are so bad that it's not even worth it as a weight loss program!

Lung cancer is probably the biggest consequence, along with stroke or heart attack, high cholesterol, permanent cough and difficulty breathing when you work out, yellow and weak teeth, nails and the white part of your eyes (and even the tips of your fingers!), addiction (it is always bad to be addicted to something, and it causes you to have trouble in long flights, for instance, where you can't smoke for 13 hs or so, or even in movie theaters when you can't smoke for as long as the movie lasts), anxiety if you don't have a cetrain amount of nicotine in your body, lots of money spent in a slow killing device (of course Jen doesn't have a problem with that but still). And many other consequences...

Smoking is a stupid, stupid thing to do. Even trying it is stupid because, let's face it, nobody likes it the first time, but there's a reason why most people go for a second one... That's because the nicotine creates an addiction pretty quickly, some people are more likely to become addicted to anything, other people can smoke one and never try it again, or even have one per month and never become addicted, but why take the risk? Nobody knows if they're easily addicted or not until they experience it. I'd rather living with the doubt...

Ok, to you and the other person who kinda went a little over board even though they already appologized, lol!:P Chill out!!!!! We know that allot of people smoke and that Jen is normal. That still dosen't mean we have to support it. I don't support it because it make's home's smell HORRIBLE and it makes the person and the person's breath smell horrible too. I also don't like it because me grandfather Grant Wilson, or as I called him, guppy, died from lung cancer because he smoked his whole life. He would have lived ALLOT longer had he not smoked like my grandmother told him several times during his life. This thread was made as a simple question. Does Jen smoke??? Not OMG! I find it a horrible and disgusting habit and I do not appove anybody smoking. In fact, I dislike that Jen smokes but I don't really care much about her life, I just wish she didn't give all of you who see her as a role model such a horrible example.

Yes she does Chain Smoke, it's not an occasional thing for her at all.
In a recent Biography special on Brad, it was even stated that at parties all she does is smoke one after the other, it's non stop. She's got a major addiction to it.

And Yes it does keep you skinny because the habit that is formed is you smoke when your hungry vs. eating when your hungry. That's common knowledge.
