This is my idea for a two hour reunion movie to be aired on a Thursday night… the Joey episode would be a lead in ..with this promo… It’s must see TV like you loved it…. First Joey….. And then you’ve waited …. And now you are cordially invited to the most hilarious wedding of the year…

It’s the FRIENDS reunion movie……starring Jennifer Anniston … and they would do a series of her as Rachel from the pilot to her with the veil and gown….playing I’ll Be there For You…. Courteney Cox Arquette pilot to her in the present. Lisa Kudrow … pilot to very pregnant Phoebe…present…..Matthew Perry….. Same …except maybe at some sort of bachelor party….. Matt Le Blanc.. Pilot to minister….and David Schwimmer … pilot to very solemn looking at his bride……

Cause you’re there for me too… shot of Rachel and Ross kissing at the end of ceremony….

Scene One: Central Perk (Chandler, Ross, and Gunther and extras)

(Ross has a box in his jacket that he takes out of his coat and opens it. It has a diamond ring in it.)

Ross: Well there it is. I hope she likes it.

Chandler: What’s not to like. It is the most beautiful ring I have ever seen. (Very emotional) Don’t let Monica see it.

Ross: Why not?

Chandler: You know her , she’ll be jealous that Rachel’s is bigger than hers.

Ross: That’s true.

Chandler: So when is the big night?

Ross: Tonight , I am so nervous.

Chandler: Nervous , you ‘ve done this three times.

Ross: Enough with the how many times has Ross been married jokes.

Chandler: Hey I will lose some of my best material. Along with the Ross married a lesbian jokes and the ever popular Ross said the wrong name jokes.

Ross: That’s great, I am just material for your act.

Chandler; (Seriously) Dude I am so happy for you. I know she is going to say yes.

Ross: Then I will have everything I have wanted since I was 15.

Gunther drops a cup and starts to cry..

Ross and Chandler look back

Gunther: Something in the water.

Scene Two (Ross and Rachel’s apartment) Monica and Rachel are going through her closet to find something to wear.

Monica: Did he tell you where?

Rachel: No just said he had a surprise for me.

Monica: No doubt about it , my brother is going to propose.

Rachel: I hope he got a new ring.

Monica: Why?

Rachel: Cause I don’t want him to propose with the same ring Joey did. It would be weird.

Monica : Rachel Green Geller (teasingly)

Rachel: Stop it.

Monica: Mrs. Rachel Geller ..

Rachel: Mon! (Slaps her playfully).

Mon: Mrs. Doctor Ross Geller…

Rachel: He is a doctor isn’t he?

Monica: Just like you always wanted.

Rachel: Monica , I wanted a doctor who could refuse house calls . Not dig up fossils. (realizes ) Oh God ! I am going to be Mrs. Ross Geller

Scene 3 Ross and Rachel Apt… Ross and Rachel are talking

Rachel: All ready. (Twirls around in new dress)

Ross: This is going to be a night to remember. But first (Takes a handkerchief and wraps it around her eyes)

Rachel: Doctor Geller , kinky sex games already?

Ross: No , it’s just that we have to go somewhere and you can’t see it yet.

Rachel: Is this part of my surprise?

Ross: I can’t say.

Rachel: If I guess it , will you tell me?

Ross: That would be no.

Rachel: Ross!

Ross: Trust me it is a good surprise and you will like it. (Leads her out of the room)

Scene 5 Central Perk Monica and Chandler are sitting on the couch as she wheels in the stroller next to them.

Monica: Your son is a genius. He said mama today.

Chandler: No he would be more of a genius if he said Dada. (Pause) Ross is going to propose to Rachel.

Monica: I knew it!

Chandler: I can’t believe it finally after all these years a Green Geller wedding.

Monica:) Oh my God, I must have my wedding book.

Chandler: Honey , I love you but are you going to obsess over every detail like you did ours.

Monica: Chandler you know me right? Of course I am. This wedding has to be perfect. Nothing but the best for my best friend and brother.Do you know how long I have waited for this?

Chandler: That whole thing about the pillowcases again?

Monica: Rachel and I planned our wedding when we were little girls. I just have to substitute Ross where it says Shaun Cassidy in the vows.

Chandler: Monica, you frighten me sometimes.

Scene 6 … a darkened space … Ross leads Rachel by the hand.

Ross: Now sweetie, hold my hand it’s dark in here.

Rachel: You’re my eyes Ross.

Still leading her to a door and then stops.

Rachel: Ross? Ross? Okay mister no sex tonight.

From off in the distance.

Ross: I think you’ll be changing your mind about that.

Rachel : Ross where are you? She walks around blindfolded and keeps bumping into things. Ouch .. Ow … Ow….Ross?

Ross: Just a second. (He takes her hand again.) Ready?

Rachel : Ready for what?

He leads her into a room where there are a hundred candles lit. The camera focuses to the ground and a carpet of lily petals cover the floor of the still mystery room.

Rachel : Are you going to keep me in suspense or tell me where we are?

He flips a switch Ross: I think you know . The music fades in with Fred Astaire singing The Way You Look Tonight. We see as the lights come up , we are in the museum planetarium. He takes off her blindfold.

Rachel : (She says it softly and lovingly) Ross Geller. It’s ….it’s … it’s

Ross: Perfect? Honey , you ain’t seen nothing yet. ( He flips another switch and the stars come out and then the camera reveals the stars spell out will you marry me?)

Rachel : Oh my God! (Puts her hands over her mouth.)

Ross gets down on one knee Ross: Rachel, you are the woman I have dreamed of . Ever since my sister had you come over , I thought you were the most beautiful girl I had ever saw. I worshipped you in high school and the day you walked into that coffee shop. I knew you would someday be mine. We have shared a lot , we have shared joy , we have shared tears. All I know is that for the rest of my life, I want to share it with you.

(He reaches into his pocket and pulls out the box)

We see Rachel in tears … tears of joy…..



Rachel Karen Green, will you marry me?

Rachel: Oh Ross, yes! (She leaps into his arms) They are in a romantic moment and then her cell rings.

Rachel: Hello? Oh hi Monica. (To Ross) It’s your sister. (Back to phone) Yes he just did. Oh it was so beautiful with the music and the flowers and the ring … just like out of a dream…

Ross: (To Rachel) Can I have that phone? (She hands it to him) Monica, do you know what bad timing is? Oh you do, good. Because Monica this phone call was bad timing. Not only could you have tipped her off but you interrupted a very private moment between us. Now I will have Rachel give you all the details tomorrow when we pick up Emma. Monica if you don’t hang up , I will give you ALL the details that are part of this night. IN DETAIL! (Ross smiles) Good night Mon.

I don’t think she will be bothering us anymore.

Ross goes back to kissing.

Rachel holds out her hand

Rachel: Aren’t you forgetting something? (Holds out her finger)

Ross looks down and is embarrassed. Ross: Sorry Rache



Rachel: You would think after as much practice as you’ve had.

Ross gives her a dirty look.

Rachel: Sorry hon, I guess I have just spent too much time around Chandler.

Scene 7 Monica and Chandler’s House .. Monica , Chandler, Ross , Rachel and Emma

(Rachel holds out her hand)

Rachel: Ta daa isn’t it beautiful?
Monica: Oh Rachel, it is , it is it’s gorgeous, and it is such a beautiful stone , and it’s….bigger than mine. Chandler!
Chandler: Yes dear.
Monica: Ross bought Rachel a ring bigger than mine. Explain.
Chandler: Do you want me to buy you a new one?
Monica: That would be nice.
(Chandler turns to Ross) Chandler: Thanks a lot man. (Puts on his coat and leaves.)
Monica: There is so much to do.
Rachel: I know , I mean there is flowers and the cake and dress .
Ross: And the money to pay for all this.
Rachel: That shouldn’t be a problem, I mean we both have savings accounts.
Ross: And I have two kids, Rachel, maybe a big wedding isn’t a good idea. I mean you are marrying a man who has been married three times.
Rachel: Hey you had your weddings mister. Now this one is mine.
Ross: Well maybe we should talk to your father. Oh did I say that? Bad Ross! (slaps himself.)
Rachel: Daddy , of course Daddy would pay for our wedding. Then maybe your parents could help too.

(Monica stands up)

Monica: Just one second! They didn’t have enough money when I got married but now magically they do on your fourth wedding.

Ross: You weren’t supposed to say anything , hon.

Monica: You knew about this?

Rachel: Yes. (Guiltily)

Monica: Why doesn’t anyone tell me anything?

Ross: This might be the reason.

Monica: This is so not fair. You get to go to college. You get the nice weddings.

Ross: And you got the Porsche.

Rachel: Maybe Daddy will pay for this wedding. It’s obvious Jill and Amy are never going to get married. Besides I am Daddy’s favorite and you know how that is.

(Monica rolls her eyes at Ross)

Monica: Oh yes I do.

Ross: Monica ! Stop being a baby.

Monica: Me being a baby? That is like the pot calling the kettle black.

Ross: I am not a baby! (Whining)

Rachel: Ross, yes you are.

Ross: You are supposed to be on my side. That’s what that little ring on your finger is supposed to mean.

Rachel: Ross, you are a baby every time you don’t get your way.

Ross: I am not. (Crosses his arms and pouts)

Rachel: Alright you win, you are not a baby.

Ross: Thank you!

Rachel: Anyway we don’t have time . We have to go and see Daddy.

Ross: I don’t wanna go (Cries like a baby)

Rachel: You’re not getting out of this one mister. Let’s go.

Scene 8 … Leonard Green’s condominium…. There is a nautical theme in the living room. His desk is surrounded with family pictures. Emma, Rachel, Jill , and Amy… He is sitting at his desk with his glasses on his nose… looking around guiltily. He has a cigarette in his mouth.

Rachel: Daddy ! Is that what I think it is!

Leonard: You caught me pumpkin, it’s these damn bills. Your sisters must think I am made of money or something. Don’t they know the meaning of the word retired. …no money coming in.

Rachel is getting nervous. Rachel: Speaking of money Daddy….

Leonard: You brought him a long. You know I can’t stand him.

Ross: Dr. Green , I just came along for the ride.

Leonard: Well why didn’t you wait in the car, wet head, oh excuse me Doctor Wet Head.

Rachel: Daddy that is no way to talk to your future son in law.

(Ross gets up now)

Ross: I think I am going to wait in the car.

Leonard: Sit! (Ross does) You mean you and HIM!

Rachel: Daddy before you say anything. I love him . I love him more than anybody I have ever been with and nothing you say is going to change that

Leonard: Rachel , pumpkin, I don‘t think he is good enough for you. He is a stupid skinny kid who went to school to learn to dig up old bones.

Rachel: Daddy , Ross has been a great father to Emma. He is a college professor who has tenure. It is not as if he is a garbage collector, he makes money and more importantly he takes care of me.

Leonard: This is what you want pumpkin?

Rachel: I do , Daddy..

Leonard goes back to the desk and gets his checkbook.

Leonard: How much Rachel?

Ross: I figure about forty thousand.

Leonard: Is your name Rachel.

Rachel: Thank you Daddy. (Gives him a hug)

Leonard: Two conditions, I don’t sit by your mother …

Ross: Done and the second?

Leonard: Geller , I may be giving you the money , but I still don’t like you. If I pay for this wedding, I do not want anybody going out the window this time.

Rachel looks up at Ross and gives him a quick kiss.

Rachel: I don’t think you have anything to worry about. (She smiles )

Scene 9…. Joey’s Apartment … LA….Joey and Alex are kissing and sitting on the couch……

Joey: Michael is at school and Gina is getting a new tattoo, so we can be alone, counselor.

(He takes her in his arms and kisses her)

Alex: Oh Joey (she sighs)

PHONE RINGS

Joey: Phone.

Alex: Let it ring. (Goes back to kissing)

STILL RINGING

Joey: Could be important. Could be Bobbie. (Picks it up) Hello.

Ross: Hey Buddy.

Joey: Ross! (To Alex) It’s Ross from New York. What’s up Buddy?

Rachel: (to Ross) Is that Joey? (Grabs phone) Joey guess what?

Alex: Maybe I should go . (Alex gets up . Joey motions for her to sit.)

Joey: Rach , hey I am so glad to hear from you. (to Alex) it’s Rachel.

Alex: Rachel ? As in Rachel? I am definitely leaving Joey, come over when you’re done. (Gets up . He pulls her back down on the couch)

Joey: So what’s up Rach?

Rach: We’re getting married!

Joey: You are marrying Ross right?

Rachel: Of course, and we want you to marry us , you know it is a tradition.

Joey: Just tell me when and where.

(Ross turns to Rachel) Ross: Can I have that phone? (Rachel pouts and gives it to him) Thank you. Joey?

Joey: Hey dude you finally did it. Congratulations , I know you will be so happy.

Ross: Thanks man, the wedding is in a month, so we’ll see you okay.

(Rachel looks at the clock.)

Rachel: Ross we have to meet with the florist.

Ross: Gotta go Joe, wedding stuff, we’ll be talking to you.

Joey: Give Emma a hug from her Uncle Joey.

Ross: You got it, gotta go. Bye. (Hangs up phone)

(Turns to Alex)

Joey: That was…

Alex : Ross and Rachel.

Joey: How did you know?

Alex: I heard the whole conversation.

Joey: And they are ….


Alex: Getting married.


Joey: Boy you’re smart… and that ‘s why I love you. Want to go to a wedding?

Alex: Well let’s see. I am still in mourning over my divorce from Eric but heavily engaged in a sexually fulfilling relationship with my new boyfriend. I guess.
