Friends Role Playing Game (Round 1)

OK, this is the first round of the Friends Role Playing Game.

Here are the basic things everybody needs to know before the game starts:

1) The only things posted in this thread will be the plays. Anything related to the game that is not a part of the game itself (like correcting someone who made a mistake, suggesting different plays, encouraging players, congratulating a player for his/her excellent work in one play, etc) must be posted in this other thread: http://www.friendscafe.org/forum/showthread.php?t=13558&page=1&pp=10 (and will be moved to that thread if posted here)

2) If you want to play but you don't have a character, you can call a character that hasn't been called yet at any time during the game but you have to do it here http://www.friendscafe.org/forum/showthread.php?t=13558&page=1&pp=10 and you need to wait until a color is asigned to your character before you can play. If you're in a hurry you can pick a color that hasn't been asigned to any characters and that isn't too similar to the colors we already have and start playing. (Remember that the guest star you choose has to respect the timeline, so Mike, for instance, wouldn't be a good choice, but David would)

3) Each player must always post in the color he/she was asigned and every single word in the post must be made with that color. If you forget to do it with your color, your post might be edited to add the correct color to your post, but the text won't be modified.

4) You cannot play another character or tell what to do to a character that isn't the one you were asigned.

5) If you can't think of what to say, you may PM another member for advice or post your concern in this thread: http://www.friendscafe.org/forum/showthread.php?t=13558&page=1&pp=10. But do not post things of the type of "I don't know what to say/do" in this thread (unless your character doesn't know what to say ;))

6) Read and respect the contents of the previous posts (this means don't write things that are badly out of context or contradict the previous posts). Also do not contradict the timelines (don't mention things that happened after the time when the story takes place).

Timeline:

Beginning of season 5. Ross is struggling with Emily, Phoebe already had the triplets. Monica and Chandler are having a secret affair. Rachel is in love with Ross (but let's pretend she never told him that). Joey knows about Monica and Chandler but isn't allowed to tell anyone.

Location:

New York City.

Storylines:

1) Monica is throwing a big, fancy surprise b-day party for Chandler and wants everybody to participate in the arrangements. She is planning on "coming out of the non-gay closet" (like Joey would word it) during the toast and wants Joey to help her with her speech.
2) Chandler is being "harassed" by Janice and doesn't know how to get out of it. He doesn't want to tell her about Monica because he's afraid she won't be able to keep her mouth shut. He goes to Joey for advice.
3) Phoebe and Rachel try to get out of helping Monica with her annoying party at the same time as Rachel tries to seduce Ross and Phoebe tries to stop her.
4) Jack is extremely insistent in finding ways to help Ross about the Emily issue. Ross is confused about Rachel's strange behavior.

Hey son, your mother told me what happened. I just so happened to be in the city and I figured I'd drop by. I find this very upsetting, for no other reason would I give up my thrity-second spot on line, to another wookie no less. I figured you wouldn't mind if I brought this by.. 'The Land Before Time' helped you get through tough situations in your teenage years, especially when puberty started kicking in..

Yeah, hmm..(clears throat) I'll just leave this here. If your mother calls don't tell her I'm at the Star Wars convention. She forbid me ever to go again after I nearly beat that Jedi within an inch of his life last time. You don't accuse Jack Geller of being a Trekkie and get away with it.

Yemen! Oh you wrote me everyday? Oh that's too bad, I never got any of them. I guess it was the ermm...Yemen Revolution. The postal service is waaaaaay behind. Umm...yeah.

Pick up where we left off? Oh no, I can't! I'm going back. In a week. No, tonight! Yeah, that's right. I'm going back to Yemen tonight to fight in the Yemen (*stares at Ross*) Revolution!

[Gum-Would-Be-Perfection]

*Looks upset* Tonight? *Pushes his shoulder* You should have called me when you got into the city so we could spend some time together! *Starts to smile* Well we will just have to spend as much time together as possible before you leave. We can go out to a fancy restaurant and for a romantic walk in the park! It will be great. You're not seeing anybody right now, are you?

Well, he was in Yemen fighting in the revolution but now he's in the closet hiding from Janice.

God no wonder Yemen got rid of him!

You know, I read in this book once, where there's this wardrobe, and when you go through it it takes you to like this totally other place. And there's a lion, and an evil queen. *looks of irritation on everyone's faces.* Fine, don't believe me but if you ever end up stuck in another world don't call me to come and save your ass! -Ross is on the Phone (apparently with Emily) in the living room of the girls' apartment
-Phoebe and Janice are in the kitchen talking loudly.
-Chandler is in the secret closet and Joey is running back and forth bumping against the door to try to get it open. (Even if it opens to the outside of the closet))

-Monica and Rachel are in Central Perk

OK, so Joey stopped trying to open the closet door when he saw Janice was approaching it. Now Janice is trying to talk Chandler into coming out of the closet (in the literal way) and Joey is, indeed, in the kitchen with Phoebe.

(To Monica) Wouldn't miss it for the world... not that i knew about it, but sure i'm there... by any chance you wouldn't happen to not invite your brother, my ex, Chandlers best friend and old college roomate, Ross?

I don't know what was so suprising about it, just before we were watching James Bond and I remember commenting on her nice stems.. although I can see why it was inappropriate, she had just finished telling me she was pregnant and all. Ah well..

CHANDLER: is out in the balcony celebrating the fact that Janice is temporarily gone
ROSS: goes out to the balcony to talk to Chandler
JOEY: is walking out of the girls' apartment
MONICA: is going up the stairs and runs into Joey
PHOEBE and RACHEL: are in Phoebe's apartment. Rachel shows Phoebe the dress she's going to wear to seduce Ross and telling her what she's planning on doing to seduce him.

Now for the guest stars:

JANICE: is no longer in the girls' apartment
SANDRA: is in Central Perk drinking coffee
LEONARD: walks in to Central Perk and runs into Sandra
JACK: on his way to where Ross is

Change of scene:

They are all getting ready for what Chandler thinks is an Opera Night that Monica invited everybody to. Everybody is pretty excited and Chandler can't understand why they're all so happy about the opera!! He's the only one complaining about having to go.
The plan is that they will all leave and Monica will delay him somehow and then she'll bring him over to the fancy hotel where the party takes place.

MONICA, CHANDLER, RACHEL and ROSS are all in the girl's apartment. JOEY and PHOEBE walk in a bit later, already dressed up.

MARCOE (our brand new guest star) knocks on the door and asks for Chandler.

The rest of the guest stars are ALL ready in the hotel waiting for the friends to show up.
