Can't believe that there isn't a thread on these movies. We both think that they're really great. What do you think of the movies, and which one's your favourite?
Also, discuss the new movie (forecast for 2006). So far, all we know is that it's going to be directed by Steven Spielberg, written by George Lucas and starring Harrison Ford. Should be quite interesting!

I loved Raiders of the Lost Ark and Last Crusade but not so much for Temple of Doom. The music rocks too. They said they were gonna make the 4th with an elderly Jones. Doesn't seem so appealing but should definitely be good. They better hurry though...

^ Agree, the Temple of Doom was quite poor, but the mine train chase at the end was pretty great though! It was too serious, the whole thing with IJ was that it was lighthearted. But The Last Crusade is just the best, with Sean Connery it was just so funny and exciting at the same time.

Yeah, if Spielberg and Lucas had toned down the serious and gory parts, it would've been a lot better (and there would be no such thing as PG-13, that heart removal scene was the whole reason it was created). I think Sean Connery will be back too. I hope the plot will be somewhere along the lines of the video games they had out (which have good stories but not as good gameplay).

The best one for me is the Last Crusade. Connery was superb! ;)

^ Yeah, agreed. It's just so funny, especially when Indiana threw that German officer off the plane then said "No ticket!" :)

I also liked the part where Jones Sr. shoots off their own plane's tail with the machine gun.

I'm not that keen on them. they bore me a bit. I guess the one i thought was good was the one where at the end they are in a pit of snakes or something

Blasphemy! lol. I'm guessing you're referring to Raiders of the Lost Ark (1st one). btw, they're coming out with another untitled Indiana Jones game on the next-gen game consoles (PS3, XBox 360, Nintendo Revolution), this may mean the actual franchise may be rolling.
I love them all, but I don't like Temple as much as the other two. The only one I got to see in the theatres unfortunately was 3 so I lean towards that one. Can't wait for the new one. If they stop throwing away scripts they might actually make it. They've been talking about it for years now and hopefully Lucas will have sometime to spend on it. Last I heard was that the character would age appropriately so I guess it will be like 15-20 years after the last one and he probably won't be fighting the Nazi's. But I'm excited for this one. :)
