I just got back from seeing Episode 3. It was great, I really loved it. I loved how they tied things together and hearing Vader breathe for the first time, chilling... So who else is a fanatic with me? :04:

Yes, it's great. I don't want to give anything away but if you know the movies well it works. But since they are my favorite movies I'm also biased. :P

Hurry up and see it though cos I need to discuss. :04:

Okay, just got back from seeing it.

I'm really at a loss for words. (in a good way)

My mouth is pretty dry from hanging open for a good portion of the movie. Now I'm a bit tired, discussion coming soon!

Four words: I'm seeing it again.:P

I thought it was great during the 3 times I saw it today (2 digital high def on midnight and 3:30am with UCLA friends, and one IMAX size 8:40am with old high school football friends). wow, i'm tired. But I got a nice goody bag from theater sponsors for waiting in line (it has a lightsaber spoon that lights up, a death star beachball, free Whopper coupon, free water, free Star Wars cereal, and some other stuff I can't remember but are still cool). And there was this hot chick who wore the gold bikini *drool*, but the manager made her cover up and everyone booed.

All that plus going to the Revenge of the Sith red carpet premiere makes the sting of not being able to get Courteney's autograph or pic at the Longest Yard premiere more bearable. And there were Star Wars fans lining up there even though Star Wars isn't being played there...

i'm going to see it tonight, i'm really exited. The first 3 were really good but i thought the 2 newest one's were pretty terrible. But this one features darth vader in and he is totally the best character so it should be awesome.

i saw it last night, it was really good the best out of all the new one's. I think the best scenes were (WARNING DO NOT READ ON IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS) when the emporer gets turned all horrible by samule L jackson. And the lava scene with obi one and aniken. However i think Anakin turning to the dark side was a bit unconvincing, his reasons and stuff. Also he didn't really seem evil enough to be darth vader

exactly the same as you
It was fantastically well put together and so relevant to what I was like when we first heard him breathing. (I watched the late showing last night)

Its made me wanna watch them all again
I thought it was truly brilliant especially to the big fans of the films, you have to have watched 2 and 4 and remember them well to see the absolute genius of this film.

Blasphemy! How can it be boring? The last 45 minutes has more excitement than all the other movies that've been out this year. I thought it was great. I've seen it 4 going on 5 times now and it's still not boring. Still can't understand people who think Star Wars is boring or terrible, especially Star Trek (which IS boring) fans...

I agree that Star Wars isn't boring for me, but I can see where Lene is coming from. All that talk about trade organizations and peace treaties can get a little tedious, but hey, Star Wars isn't known for it's riveting storylines.

The first trilogy had a decent storyline. But Episode III had a darn good one. I think the trade org and peace treaties was supposed to add tension, which didn't really work, but at least it wasn't as bad as say Gigli...but the action is first rate...

Yeahh id have to agree star wars episode 3 rocked the hiss house!!!
Ill be honest and say that i wasnt a big fan of episodes 1 or 2 but this one was really something to scream about.....i so wasnt excpecting it!!!
As for the end......wow.......that end scene actually really made me feel something when watching it....(i wont mention it for the people who havent seen it already but it will really get ya or maybe even disturb ya)....but in any case it made me feel something when watching it which is good because i didnt feel anything at all when watching episodes 1 or 2 just sleepyness!!!:D
Cya later,

I've seen the prequel trilogy, but never the original one - episode IV,V and VI - And I never tought of myself as a hard-core SW fan, but after seeing episode III, it really intreged(sp) me to se the whole saga. But if I was George Lucas, the last shot of the episode III would be, Darth Vader commig to life for the first time and only hearing his breathing.
FYI: This movie is making box office records allover the place... in only 4 days that's been out, it allready made $160M in the US alone.

Hm men mostly. What's up with this weird-bond-kinda-thing between men and Star Wars?! :rolleyes:I have to go with Ryan, we can't resist all that blowing up and space battles stuff.

Also, who can resist those lightsabers? I mean, it's like the ultimate dream weapon, a sword made out of energy beams which cuts cleanly.

I do have to admit, Episode I: The Phantom Menace was a tad boring considering the storyline dealt with trade and peace treaties, but if you look at the two trilogies as a whole, it's actually the story of one boy's rising promise to his eventual seduction by the Dark Side and finally being redeemed by his children. It is very much a 'father and son' type movie.

On that note, I was just discussion Revenge of the Sith with a friend the other day, and he was talking about how he used to think Luke was the main character, but realized that it's all about the journey of Anakin Skywalker (Darth Vader).

I don't know, I guess it was the way that this latest episode bridged everything together, it just left me with this breathless feeling and goosebumps. There was a sense of destiny, of fate, and of live enventually to be intertwined.

Probably the same reason girls watch the OC or some other Fox, WB chick show...;)Hey, the O.C. and One Tree Hill are very addicting. Don't diss them.

Hey, the O.C. and One Tree Hill are very addicting. Don't diss them.

Yes, the whole two trilogies is basically about Anakin Skywalker and to a lesser extent his family. As the writers at theforce.net learned: "Despite murdering dozens of children, betraying your friends, and choking your wife, you can still have good in you."

Yes, I was left with goosebumps also, but I would've loved it if Lucas left the deleted scenes untouched in the film. There's a whole load that he cut, which would've made it 3+ hours long like Lord of the Rings. He should've stayed true to the novel, which is an excellent read. I read it more than my bio textbooks...

lol, i guess i'm not such a big fan of the OC or One Tree Hill. They're tolerable though as I learned having to watch the OC just to wait at the end to record the premiere of the Ep III trailer in HD and the numerous times the girls on newspaper staff in high school hijacked the TV while we were watching basketball during Press Days....

I know, I was just gonna comment! The things they say should be left in soap operas. I hate it when they mentioned their "love". You don't say that to people. God. Holy crap. Even I can write better love dialogue than that. I like the Padme/Anakin pairing though, as long as they don't speak. :D So yeah I felt that some of the lines (and not just with the Padme/Anakin scenes) were a little unnatural.

Overall, I liked it. The entire plot was good and it was nicely done; they wrapped up (almost) everything well. Although there's a little plot hole there about Leia remembering her mother, which even I noticed, so it must've been really obvious.

I liked how Jar Jar Binks was on this one for like, two seconds. Ohthatgodawfulthing.

Seriously, Airy, even your puppying stories were better. I felt the best scene was that one where Padme was looking out her window across Coruscant (I think that's where they were) and Anakin was looking out the window also across at her. They couldn't see each other so there was no talking, just music. That was the best.

Ugh, that one line "You are so beautiful", followed by that 'witty' banter about love and beauty and love blinding people, I was sitting in my seat trying to eat ice. I tried to block it out, nearly about to cry. My friend and I actually kept a tally about corny conversations between Anakin and Padme and we got to about #9 and gave up.

Although there's a little plot hole there about Leia remembering her mother, which even I noticed, so it must've been really obvious. Well, you know they are very Force shrouded or whatever. Maybe she felt Padme's spirit.

I don't think puppying would be a good idea unless Lucas wants an R rating.:04:

I'm gonna try to go see it again this week or next. I still haven't decided where I would rank this one. Definitely better than Episodes I and II. I love how it connected to the original trilogy. Hey, this is my 1000th post. lol

Okay.. editing this for someone.

First of all, I would like to thank my first forum friend, Joe. And then there was Catie, Hazel, Jona, and now Chandler. Eek... well, there are others that I have talked to, but those are the only ones that I talk to on a regular basis. Although not as much as I used to with Joe, but still..

Second, I would like to thank everyone here who has made my first forum experience wonderful. I have met some amazing people, in addition to my above named friends. I hope to be around more this summer, and I would love to get to know more of you.

Finally, I would like to go back to the forum friends for a second. You guys are the best. I love talking to you, and I have a lot of fun memories (and if I can't remember... I have, at last count, You've helped me discover another side of myself, and this is getting so cheesy. Anyway, I love you guys. Thanks for being there when I need you. And when I don't. :)

Lmao...a horse?

Oooh I just saw this on some random LiveJournal (http://www.livejournal.com/users/avalon_spirit/35304.html):

REVENGE OF THE SITH in 167 Lines

OPENING SCROLL: Two years have passed since the last movie. Things suck for the Jedi. Our beloved demigod Mr. George Lucas, henceforth known only as George, has realized that he now has only one last chance to redeem himself for Jar Jar Binks and "I truly, deeply love you." HERE WE GO.

ANAKIN: What would be a movie without me flying around?

LITTLE DRILLING BOTS: Mwahaha.

OBI-WAN: Well, ****.

R2D2: Dude I love CG effects. Look at all teh uber cool things I can do that I won't be able to in Episodes IV-VI.

ANAKIN: Hehe Episode I flashback. Hanger away!

Inside the hanger, ANAKIN and OBI-WAN kick droid butt. The ELEVATOR gives them trouble. ANAKIN drops behind OBI-WAN. OBI-WAN whirls and ignites his lightsaber.

GEORGE: W00T would you LOOK at that foreshadowing? I am SO good.

DOOKU: I will own your sorry Jedi butts like I owned you back in Episode II. Remember? I owned your sorry Jedi butts!

ANAKIN: Nut-uh, because I'm TWICE as strong now.

ANAKIN and OBI-WAN and DOOKU fight.

ANAKIN: How symbolic is this? I'm twice as strong, and now I keel you with twice the saber!

DOOKU: Ummm, master? Sort of, kind of, you know, DYING here?!

PALPATINE: Yup.

DOOKU: omg!betrayed *dies*

AUDIENCE: .....wtf? Bad boy villian gone in the first five minutes? How can a stupid coughing droid compare?! WOE.

-------------

PADME: I LOVE YOU.

ANAKIN: I LOVE YOU.

PADME: K, now that we've established that, let's move on before we get accused of cheesy dialogue again.

ANAKIN: You are so beautiful because I'm in love with you! Out there, every second I was thinking of you. Protecting the Outer Rim became a torture. The longing became UNBEARABLE. I've never been so happy as I am at this moment. Like back on Naboo, when there was nothing but our love...

PADME: DAMN IT, ANAKIN. There goes the Oscar for Best Screenplay. Oh and I'm pregnant.

MEMBERS OF THE AUDIENCE WHO HAVE SEEN THE TRILOGY: OMG! Luke and Leia! THAT'S LUKE AND LEIA!

-------------

PALPATINE: I put thee on the Jedi Council.

ANAKIN: Whoohoo!

MACE WINDU: Anakin, we don't trust the Senate, we don't trust the Chancellor, and we don't trust you.

ANAKIN: *sulk*

MACE WINDU: So you're on the Council, but you're not a master.

ANAKIN: *sulk*

OBI-WAN: And you're really on the "Council" to spy on the "Chancellor."

ANAKIN: This. Is. So. Frickin'. UNFAIR.

OBI-WAN: You've said that before.

ANAKIN: *sulk* Oh yeah, and Obi-Wan? You're a kickass sort of guy. My buddy. Now say nice things back to me so my turning will be all the sadder.

OBI-WAN: I am very proud of you.

ANAKIN: That'll do. Bye!

------------

PALPATINE: They sent you to spy on me, didn't they?

ANAKIN: Um.

PALPATINE: The Jedi are teh suck.

ANAKIN: Maybe?

PALPATINE: I sense the fear in you. Listen to this sob!story of the Sith that, were I a respectable Chancellor, I probably wouldn't know. You know, with the Sith and their uber secrecy and all.

ANAKIN: Mmhmm interesting.

PALPATINE: I know things about the Force. The *dark* side of the Force.

ANAKIN: How I still haven't guessed you're a Sith Lord is beyond me.

AUDIENCE: Us too.

PALPATINE: LIKE, UUSSEEEE THE DAAAARRRRKKKK SIIIIIDDEEEE, Anakin!

SOUNDTRACK: OMINIOUS! like whoa.

ANAKIN: *blinks*

PALPATINE: OKAY. You Jedi are frickin' dense. Me = Sith Master. You = my next apprentice if you want your wife to live. Saavy???

ANAKIN, MASTER OF MISSING THE OBVIOUS: #@)%!!!

--------------

YODA: Go to Kashyyyk and Wookies, help I will.

MACE WINDU: Um why?

YODA: Worship us, trilogy lovers will. Huggable young!Chewie, save prequels, will.

MACE WINDU: Score.

--------------

OBI-WAN: Where's General Grievous?

TION MEDON: Up there. With craploads of battle droids.

OBI-WAN: *meets General Grievous and craploads of battle droids*

GRIEVOUS: WHOO! FOUR - COUNT 'EM - FOUR LIGHTSABERS.

OBI-WAN: Pffffttt.

GRIEVOUS and OBI-WAN fight. OBI-WAN, after having been pitifully knocked out in the first ten seconds with Dooku, finally starts getting his Jedi on.

GRIEVOUS: *dies*

OBI-WAN: I DA MAN.

-----------

ANAKIN: Hey Mace, bad news. Palpatine's a Sith.

MACE WINDU: Is not.

ANAKIN: Is too.

MACE WINDU: Is not.

ANAKIN: Is too!

MACE WINDU: IS NOT.

ANAKIN: IS OMGWTF TOO!

PALPATINE: I am a Sith.

MACE WINDU: Meh. Guess he is.

EXTRAS WITH MACE WINDU: *cut down in milliseconds*

MACE WINDU: You guys seriously SUCK.

EXTRAS WITH MACE WINDU: We sorta slept during choreographing practice. Sorry.

PALPATINE: *does the lightning thing*

MACE WINDU: YOUR PUNY LIGHTNING DOES NOT FRIGHTEN ME.

PALPATINE: *does the I'm helpless thing*

MACE WINDU: ANAKIN, do NOT, NOT, NOT fall for it.

ANAKIN: *falls for it*

MACE WINDU: DAMMNNIIIiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiittttttttttttttttt. *dies*

ANAKIN: Crap. Oh crap. I should not have done that. I SHOULD NOT have done that!

PALPATINE: So, join the Dark Side?

ANAKIN: *getting over Mace's death rather quickly* Fine. I pledge my life to you, my master. I will do anything you command. I will be LORD VADER.

AUDIENCE: ......that's it? That's IT?

GEORGE: Um, yeah.

-----------

PALPATINE: Do the 66 thing.

GEORGE: Oh the symbolism! Academy, are you paying attention?

CLONES: *do the 66 thing*

SOUNDTRACK: WOE! WOE! WOE!

ANAKIN: *slaughters*

SOUNDTRACK: WOE! WOE! OMGWTF WOE!

WILLIAMS: I am SO going for the Oscar.

------------

PALPATINE: SO. We shall strip all you of all your Senatorial power, rebuild this "Republic" in the form of a dictatorship, eliminate all freedom, and probably kill all of you for good measure.

SENATORS: HUZZUH! HUZZUH!

PADME: Oh good grief. It's a room full of George Bush's.

------------

OBI-WAN: Who slaughtered all these children?

YODA: Um.

AUDIENCE: -_- These Jedi really are dense.

OBI-WAN: NO. NO. He's like my BROTHER, okay? I CANNOT kill him. Do not ask me to kill him! I can't! I won't! I BLOODY WON'T.

YODA: Done, are you?

OBI-WAN: ...

YODA: Kill him, you must.

OBI-WAN: Screw you.

--------------

OBI-WAN sneaks onboard a ship. PADME, OBI-WAN, and R2 arrive at the Flaming Planet.

ANAKIN: Padme! The love of my life! My passion, my fruit - !

PADME: *noticing the eyes of glaring EVIL* Did you get contacts?

ANAKIN: No...?

PADME: *gasp* So you ARE a Sith!

ANAKIN: No, I'm not. Really I'm not. Well, okay, maybe I am. But look, I did all this to protect you. I LOVE YOU. I thought we'd established that! See, THIS is why we need more corny lines!

OBI-WAN: *chooses the most inopportune moment to appear in the doorway*

ANAKIN: OMG! You've been cheating on me!

PADME: Huh?

ANAKIN: *does the choking thing*

OBI-WAN: You need to see a relationship counselor, mate.

-------------

SIDIOUS: You are no match for me.

YODA: Think not, I.

SIDIOUS and YODA fight. YODA, despite outward appearances to the contrary, actually has decently proportioned legs. AVALON'S HEAD was not in the gutter when she wrote that. YODA loses his lightsaber. Some cool Force action occurs. YODA falls several hundred feet. SIDIOUS searches for him to no avail. YODA crawls through some pipes and conveniently finds a hole where BAIL ORGANA is waiting with an ESCAPE VESSEL.

YODA: Meh, into exile, I now go.

BAIL: Why now?

YODA: Two hours into movie, are we, and not at Dagobah yet, am I. To chop chop, need I.

-----------

ANAKIN: Look, despite the black cloak, the red-orange eyes, and the slaughter, I'm really NOT evil. I'm protecting the Empire.

OBI-WAN: You mean the Republic?

ANAKIN: ....sure. That.

OBI-WAN: Now I KNOW you're evil.

ANAKIN: Then let us whip off the cloaks and fight!

OBI-WAN: Why are we even wearing these cloaks? You do realize I've taken this thing off about fifty times in this movie, right?

SIDIOUS: And I've put ON a cloak.

GEORGE: I wonder if there's some symbolism here...

HIGH SCHOOL AND COLLEGE STUDENTS: Oh we could probably BS something.

-----------

ANAKIN and OBI-WAN are fighting. The TOWER decides to fall.

OBI-WAN: ANAKIN, could we PLEASE finish this some other time?

ANAKIN: SHE. IS. MINE.

OBI-WAN: Fine, whatever. You're the one who is supposed to fall anyway. Haven't you seen how scarred you are in Episode VI?

ANAKIN: SHE. IS. MINE.

ANAKIN and OBI-WAN fight while surfing on lava.

OBI-WAN: I have the higher ground now.

GEORGE: OMG the symbolism! Higher ground physically and morally! OMG!

ANAKIN: *gets legs chopped off* Argh.

OBI-WAN: Give up.

ANAKIN: Just a flesh wound.

OBI-WAN: YOU WERE THE CHOSEN ONE.

ANAKIN: *goes up in flames*

GEORGE: The SYMBOLISM! The SYMBOLISM!

OBI-WAN: You stupid, stupid idiot! You were supposed to, like, DESTROY the Sith.

YODA: Read the prophecy wrong, we may have.

OBI-WAN: YOU THINK?

----------------

SIDIOUS: Wow our ship made good time.

VADER: *in artificial body*

SIDIOUS: You are teh powerful now. Teh 1337. Oh and btw, you killed your wife.

VADER: I didn't! Unless I did. In which case, RAAAAWWWWWRRRRRRR.

SOUNDTRACK: WOE! WOE! WOE!

AUDIENCE: Oh MAN. This movie *almost* wasn't terribly corny.

-------------

DOCTOR: Twins!

OBI-WAN: Twins!

YODA: Twins!

AUDIENCE MEMBERS WHO HAVE SEEN THE TRILOGY: See? SEE! IT'S LUKE AND LEIA!

PADME: Luke.

BABY: Whhaaaaa!

PADME: Leia.

AUDIENCE MEMBERS WHO HAVE SEEN THE TRILOGY: *gloat*

PADME: *dies of heartbreak from her husband becoming a Sith*

AUDIENCE MEMBERS: What a way to ruin a happy moment.

GEORGE: LOOK AT THAT ALLUSION. Appointment in Samarra anyone? Academy? Did you catch that?

BAIL: We'll take Leia. Luke will probably become as whiny and prone to the dark side as his father.

YODA: Oh, Obi-Wan, Qui-Gon's also figured out a way to commune with us although he's dead.

OBI-WAN: Score!

AUDIENCE MEMBERS WHO LIKED QUI-GON: Yay! We can see Qui-Gon again!

BAIL: Hun, I've brought home a baby girl!

OBI-WAN: And here's a baby boy for you two!

OWEN: Do we KNOW you?

OBI-WAN: No. Does that matter? Oh wait, man, go back to that pose! That's EXACTLY how Luke will stand some twenty years from now.

GEORGE: I have such m4d sk1llz! And I think we'll leave it there.

THE END.

AUDIENCE MEMBERS WHO LIKED QUI-GON: What? Where did Qui-Gon go?! WHY EVEN MENTION HIM IF LIAM NEESON WOULDN'T BE MAKING A CAMEO?

AUDIENCE MEMBERS WHO GREW UP WITH STAR WARS: *sob* End of an Era!

Oooh I just saw this on some random LiveJournal (http://www.livejournal.com/users/avalon_spirit/35304.html):

lol, we were just watching in the stables because it was near empty and was a lot chillier than other places. We just looked at her horse when that scene came up and she barfed because she thought it looked sick especially since her horse looked almost the same...
