Did anyone else watch it? I actually thought it was quite amusing. I think it's a different approach and you kind of feel embarrassed for Kudrow's character. She does a good job at showing how desperate the character is. I loved seeing Sally Fields :)

But it's on HBO, why would you expect it be rated anything other than MA?
I just caught it on HBO 'On Demand'.. not bad, quite different. I think it's one of those shows where you have to let it play out for 2 or 3 episodes to grasp a feel. I'll watch it next week.
Some parts were truely clever. Like nothing in this woman's life is going right and she's trying desperately to feel happy, she's like lying to herself hoping that someday this lie will be a reality. She really hates the show but won't admit it. It's clever, i'll continue watching.

I guess I will be the first to say this: I thought it was pretty bad. To me it was pretty boring and just not a show I care for. :( Also, I was watching it in my room and my family walked in right as the nude scene started. It caused for a very awkward moment. :P lol.

It's deffenetly something I haven't seen before and I think it has potential.
EDIT: Forgot to mention Lisa's performance. I tought she did a realy great job. In some scenes she realy made me feel bad for Valerie:03:

I agree. I think it will take a couple episodes to get used to the tone of the show. It's not a normal sitcom layout like Friends was. But then again, all HBO shows are like this. I think that's one of the things that makes them great. Comeback will be rerunning this week as well. I watched the premiere of 6 Feet Under last night and Comeback was on afterwards. I'm looking forward to the rest of this season though.

I agree, I want to see how the series turns out as well. However, all of HBO's shows like to highlight the almost uncomfortable side of characters. It's almost the same approach taken in movies like "Meet The Parents" or "Father of the Bride." They do things that make you cringe...but it also makes it funny.

i watched last night's episode, and it was such an improvement from the pilot. this episode was hilarious and i loved how the other actors left her and she couldnt find them to go to dinner .. haha i also loved when she was trying to be sexy in the photoshoot :P oh and when she was like, "alright you wanna through the F's around?!" :icon_lol:
overall, great episode and i cant wait for next week!:D

When I saw the first episode I wasnt sure what to think about it.
Now I´ve seen the second ep and I start to really like it.
Lisa is fabulous, shes awsome. she nails every emotion and she delivers every facial expression in an amazng way. I knew she was good, but oh boy!
The show has funny scenes and kinda shocking scenes, where you think: "oh wait a minute, thats not funny at all, thats sad!"
I like it ambivalent. I´ll watch it, because there is a lot of potential in this!

I completely agree, there are some great scenes. I really liked the airplane scene and the part where she reemed out the camera man.
Also, did you know that Kudrow created this character? Apparently she wrote the Valerie Cherish character, so she intended to show the akwardness. I'm looking forward to next week.

Is anyone still watching this show? Wanted to see what you thought about the third episode. I feel so bad for the Valerie Cherish character, but Kudrow really does a spectacular job playing her...

Yeah that was a funny part. In this week's she had a dog and it went to the bathroom and got in her hair....ewww
As for whether or not the show's a flop. I think that Kudrow does a great job and that the show is very different. It's meant to make you umcomfortable. I guess it's all up to how we like it. I enjoy the show, but do think that it isn't what some people expected. What do you guys think?
I cant watch the comeback! Im in Australia! and we dont have foxtel right now! :( lol

yup, i thought it was 10, but its 10:30 here too.. yesterday's episode was REALLY good IMO. if you were a fan of the amazing race season 6(?) i think it was.. uh you get to see Charla there :P

OMG, I agree...I actually found this one pretty funny. I think it was my favorite episode so far. I still have the uncomfortable feeling when I watch it, but the whole part with Charla is hilarious...and when Kudrow falls?! Then the final scene when the credits were rolling was funny as well...her and her husband in the bathroom.

I'm hearing HBO cancelled it. They haven't announced anything official yet but I wouldn't be suprised. It was too slow moving to keep a wide audiences attention.

They are running the full season.. which is 8 episodes I believe. HBO I heard has not ordered more episodes for another season so it's been cancelled. The full 8 shows and then no more Comeback.
