What do you think of Matthew's father?

I just thought I'm opening this thread because in This or that it came up and I thought it's better here.

I personally don't like his father. I mean I don't know him (surprise, ha?:P ) but Matthew always keeps saying that he is the best actor in the world which I really don't think so. I think also that Matthew is waaay better than him and I don't like it that Matthew doesn't seem to think so...
What do you think?

i don't know anything about his father i've just seen him in Scrub he was pretty good as an actor and seemed to be cool but i prefer Matthew and i think everybody do too !!

Let's start off by saying I don't know the guy, so I won't judge him as a person but I feel that the father is riding on the shirttails of his son. He played Matt's onscreen dad in Fools rush in. He played Joshua's dad in Friends. Again he played Matt's onscreen dad in Scrubs. Now I don't know if he plays in any movies or shows on his own, but it feels like if it weren't for his son he'd be out of a job.
But again, I don't know the background story, so....

I just want to explain this LOL. I dont LIKE his father jajaja :o i just said that his an attractive man (not for me...for the, i dont know...older people?) and we can't deny that matthew looks a little like his father (when I saw mr. Perry on scrubs and my moms say: "he looks like he be his real father"......mom..:31:...hi is Matthew's real father:20:). Can we?

Actual, his dad was an actor before Matt was. Matt wanted to play tennis, remember? I don't think he's riding Matt's fame- I think they just like to do things together. I don't think any of us are in the place where we can judge their personal lives, can we? Most of you have just said that you've never even met him (or Matt, I bet). So, I mean, let them do what they wanna do. And his dad was also in George of the Jungle.

I personally like John Bennett Perry in every thing that I've seen him in.. especially when he's in things with Matthew, (their great actors together!) and of course there's that whole thing where there would be no great, wonderful, perfect Matty without his dad so I like him for that too, lol!:P Also Matthew and his dad seem to be REALLY close, so obviously there's something good about John right??:P
