Nick gets night rights; TBS run extended

Domestic Cable has sold "Friends" to Nick at Nite in a shared window with TBS beginning in the fall of 2011, a deal that will harvest $200 million in license fees and advertising. The parties declined to discuss deal points, but Nick at Nite will pay about $500,000 an episode for the right to carry the 236 half-hours of "Friends" post-6 p.m. for a six-year term through the fall of 2017....
that would be great i think, but we still have to wait until 2011, so long.

It's a sitcom station in the States. They usually do re-runs of 70s and 80s shows.

that would be great i think, but we still have to wait until 2011, so long.

But since we'd have the all the episodes on DVD by then, I really don't see the point.....

Season 10 has been playing on TBS since a last wek i think. Phoebe's wedding was on last night.

I'm glad that they're putting it on Nick@Nite! We do have our DVDs but i also like watching it on TV so the episode is a surprise. i know, i'm weird. lol.

It's been out on DVD in the UK since last year, but it's not due to be released in the USA until November (we think).

no season 10 is not out in the US yet. it will be released november 15.

season 10 is out in other countries now, but they all get dvds before us since we put more extras on it.

I don't have cable (yeah I live in the 70's myself lol) but they local WB station still runs episodes.. i think fall they switch things around I'm hoping they will keep it..

yeah, and it's got a cast and crew featurette thing and a 43 minute gag reel and 4 commentaries. :D:D

i'm happy that friends is going to be on nick at nite. all the classic shows from the 70's and 80's and even before are on nick at nite, so friends will join those classics as a classic from the 90's. :)

Wow! Thanks...and it's multipleseason gag reel! That means there'll probably be some from the season that don't have it!! I've seen a couple bloopers from there and they are hilarious!! I can't wait!...but it seems so long from now...

On a TBS front, why do they edit out lots of ****? For ads? I don't live in America so I dont care.

Maybe. I hear that TBS ruined "Sex in The City" by making it tame... I never watched it, but that's what I heard.

it will be weird watching Friends on Nick at Night, its weird for me watching Fresh Prince because i use to watch that when it aired on NBC, Im old lol
