LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - David Schwimmer has joined the cast of "Big Nothing," an independent film billed as a fast-paced and tightly plotted black comedy.
The former "Friends" star plays a frustrated, unemployed teacher who joins forces with an unpredictable scammer (Simon Pegg, from "Shaun of the Dead") and his ambitious girlfriend in a "foolproof" blackmailing scheme.
The film is scheduled to begin shooting next month in the UK, producer Pathe Pictures said Friday at the American Film Market. Jean-Baptiste Andrea directs from a script co-written with William Asher.
Schwimmer was in theatres earlier this year with the animated film "Madgascar," in which he voiced Melman the giraffe.
