Are everyone's favorite "Friends" ready to return to TV?

Rumors were swirling over the weekend about a "Friends" revival on NBC.

According to published reports, each of the show's six stars had agreed to multi-million dollar deals to star in four one-hour episodes.

Some articles even went as far as to say that scripts were already being written.

However, Access Hollywood has learned that those reports are completely false.

"Not one ounce of truth," Jeff Zucker, CEO of NBC Universal Television Group, told Access of the rumors.

There were also rumblings of an all-male spin-off show starring David Schwimmer, Matthew Perry and Matt LeBlanc. But yet again, nothing more than false reports.

"Friends" ended its 10-year run back in May 2004. More than 52 million fans tuned in to the series finale.

So access hollywood have removed their original story and replaced it with this. I really hoped that it would happen. Maybe they don't want to release anything official yet and are just covering things up? I hope so.

I read this as well. It's a shame really. I was so excited when I read there was a reunion coming. You never know though, it could happen.

well i think they all should have agreed for a reunion. it would have definitely given them all a career boost which they all needed. well lisa kudrow's show has been cancelled, joey is also in some trouble, matthew perry hasn't appeared on any movies or shows yet, shiwmmer hasn't done anything special, courtney cox is producing small tv shows and everyone expected jennifer aniston to be a super hit in movies but both her movies have been a big failure in the box office and her third movie "Friends with money" is already getting bashed by the critics. so she hasn't lived upto the expectations, it would have definitely benniffited the cast if they would have agreed for a reunion.

Well, I figure the one thing they all agreed on was that they wouldn't do a reunion, regardless of anything, because they didn't want to cheapen the show's legacy and ruin the ending everyone had already accepted. I think they were pretty serious about wanting life after 'Friends' to be... exactly that. Meaning that reprising their characters and 'reviving' the show was just not an option. I mean, I love the show, and I miss it greatly, but I'd rather them not take that risk.

i wouldn't think they'd benefit too much, a career boost in a sense that they'd be on TV again yes, but i think they would be typecast even worse, critics would think all they could do is the show Friends and no directors would pick them for big roles. I think they are fine right now, i think Schwimmer is doing what he wants to do which is stage and is filming a movie atm, Jennifer is doing what she wants to, has alot of movies coming out, Leblanc wants to do Joey and is, but i must say its looking a bit shaky for him, Perry did a tv movie playing a teacher just gota wait till it comes out, if his performance is great he will get alot of praise and will be offered more roles and he also hosted the ESPY's, Courteney Cox has i think 3 movies with her in it coming out this year and Lisa Kudrow did have her show last year but got axed, so she would be the only real quiet one but she is really talented and if people saw her performance in Wonderland and Happy Endings they will consider her for serious roles.

The rumors were annoying, ofcourse they planned it this way - but the rumors were spread at a time when it would be very believable that the stars would sign on, Kudrow's show was cancelled (same probably goes for LeBlanc) and the others really haven't done anything (save for Aniston who has starred in a few flops). The only part of the rumor that didn't really make sense was A: The exec producers are busy (save for Bright who is/isn't producing Joey, is it on a Production Hiatus too?) and the spin-off made no sense at all (the 3 guys without their 2 girlfriend/wife?)
