It's sad to say it out loud, be we don't know that. We believe when he says he loves her more than anything, but nothing can guarantee he'll stay faithful forever, as I said, boys will be boys. I think that was just a "just in case" thought Courteney had, not that will.

I'm happy she's going through therapy, maybe she'll learn to love herself the way we all do love her. :)

I had no idea he was going to do it. We flew to Panama City Beach, Florida, where my dad and brother live. That night we went to have lobster at my sister-in-law's house. A big barge that was setting fireworks off pulled up, and everybody said, 'Let's go down to the beach'. My whole family was there and David's brother Alexis had a video camera and was filming it. David said, 'Wow, look at the fireworks', and I still didn't understand what was going on. Then David dropped to his knee and asked me to marry him in front of my whole family. It was wild. Courtney Cox Arquette: At Wes's [Craven, Scream's director] house during a dinner party that took place before we started filming. I heard he was a really sweet guy, but a little troublemaker. For some reason when I saw him--and I'm never like this--I was kind of cocky and I said something like, "I know who you are." I don't know why, but I wanted to have some kind of banter with him. I was really taken by him. He's a very original person. Then I got to know him and found that he's probably the sweetest person in the whole world. He has the best heart. And any troublemaking part of his personality is just out of fun and because he's kooky.

CCA: In Panama City, Florida in front of my entire family. I think that takes a lot of guts. My brother was opening this big patio store, and I was down there signing autographs and helping out. I have a lot of giant things, like a giant toothbrush and toothpaste. I just don't know if that can stay. I know, it's crazy. I don't understand it either. Most of my stuff is swap-meet stuff.

Are you a big swap-meet guy?
I like them, but I think I'm pretty much banned from going there.

Courteney banned you?
No, no, personal ban. I've got a self-imposed restriction on buying junk. Because I just don't have any more room, and we have a baby coming.

Will you be there with a video camera in the delivery room?
I don't think there will be photographs. I don't know. When you're a celebrity, certain things just aren't appropriate.

We've been toying with a bunch.

How are things going on your decorating show, Mix It Up?
We're in our second season. It's really great. We learned a lot in the first season, so the second season is going to be even better. ... We appear as cartoons doing the voiceover this year. So, we're gonna pop up with little cartoon mouths.

So it's fun for you and Courteney to work together?
Yeah, it's incredible. We're a great team as far as everything goes. We just work together on several different levels. Courteney is definitely in charge when it comes to decorating. She has such a knack for it, and she has so much experience.

Any interest in doing a sitcom with Courteney?
That would be fun. I'd definitely be open to doing a weekly TV show. I've been writing, we've been developing a bunch of television. I'm going to do a kids show. Hopefully they'll pick it up.

Will you be playing a kid?
No. Kids shows aren't just for kids anymore, you know. SpongeBob SquarePants is sort of for the whole family. But it's for the Cartoon Network and it's called the Dirt Squirrel, and it's about a crime-fighting, martial-arts squirrel. I'm not sure if he'd be a gray squirrel or a brown squirrel. He's a flying squirrel.

Q: Did the eight-year difference in your ages matter at all?

Let me make that clear: seven years. That's a lot to me. But the only thing that will bother me is if I start feeling like, wow, I look older than him.

Q: Why?
A: My maid of honor told me her father said, "Tell Courteney and David, a deal's a deal." Her parents were married until her mom died, and it was the best, most loving relationship I'd ever seen. So anything coming from that man in regards to marriage really meant something to me. And when I heard what he said, I thought, yeah, that's true. It's a deal. You make a commitment, things change, but you work on it to keep the commitment. A deals' a deal. Let's always make this our priority.
Q: What does David think about your weight?
A: If I gained or lost 50 pounds, he would notice, but he doesn't care about stuff like that. He doesn't want me to be some big whale, but who knows, maybe he wouldn't mind that either.
