in the oprah interview, jennifer aniston talked about her and leblanc in the rafters drinking some wine and smoking cigarettes....so from that i assume that matt leblanc smokes too.

wow, French & Italian ! How talented Lisa is! so in the episode where Joey's nona ( is it correct?) watched the show "days of our lives" with the gang, Lisa really was speaking Italian! cool.

i've read that also. apparently her quitting with david was a part of their getting engaged, and when they had therapy together when they first got married.

im pretty sure that the reason they havent quit smoking (besides the fact that its addicting) is that smoking makes you thinner, and theyre all probably afraid that if they quit they will start gaining weight, but unless Courteney is an exception then its probably preventable because court hasnt seemed to gain any weight since she quit

Whoever asked if Lisa spoke fluent French, the answer is yes. Her husband Michel is French, therefore she is fluent. Most of if not all of Michel's family is in France, Paris or somewhere around there. So Lisa didn't have to be coached for the show, she already knew it!

Yeah I've read that also. Plus, my dad used to smoke and when he quit he kept getting cravings. But doctors tell you that whenever you get a craving you should eat to sidetrack yourself. He gained like 15-20 punds when he quit. It might not happen to everyone, but it is prety common to gain weight when you quit.

I read in an interview that when Julian was little, Lisa would speak to him in English and Michel would speak to him in French, so I'm guessing Julian speaks fluent French too. Apparently Lisa took Italian in college, and according to the article, being Jewish, she also speaks a little Hebrew!

I read an interview where Matthew said he gave up all his bad habits but he won't give up smoking. I hate when I read how he chain smokes. So unhealthy. And yes I am an ex smoker who gianed 30 pounds after quitting. It is a very hard habit to break. It's relaxing and you do reach for a cigerette rather than food so smokers tend to be thinner. The whole trick is once you make up your mind to quit you have to know just like someone who has any other type of addiction you can never have another cigerette. If you do in a matter of days you are back smoking like you never quit. As far as Matthews comments, I guess I would rather he enjoy his cigerettes than drugs or alcohol.

Ok, I hate to be the pooper here, but just because people smoke, does not make them bad people! Don't throw tomatoes at me! What some of you guys are forgetting, is that in the 80's (when most of these people were teenagers) smoking was something that a lot of people did. There was also less known about some of the diseases that it causes. 'Have you seen the ad where the kid walks through Grandpa? It's chilling!' To quote Monica, in reference to telling Chandler to quit, but those 'infamous ads' didn't start running until the late 90's. In fact, in episodes of classic sitcoms (I Love Lucy, The Honeymooners, and even shows from the 70's like Three's Company), people smoke. Everywhere. Even in 1994, the writers incoporated Chandler's smoking into the show. Friends, as far as I know, was one of the only shows that showed people smoking on TV (except for cigars that were used as a sign of 'richness,' you could say, on Frasier). You may not like it, but a lot of people do it. A lot. And I know, you can say, 'Oh, I want them to quit, I want them to quit,' but you can't do it overnight. It takes a lot of work. I know it's a gross habit, but that doesn't make them 'bad people', if I could repeat myself. If someone else wrote this, I'm sorry, I got tired after reading eight pages of this, and got so frustrated I just had to write this.
