She can play Monica this up tight neat freak but then when you see her in interviews and things she's nothing like that and it's just really great how she can play a character like that.

Yes, David is very underrated. I don't think Jennifer Aniston is that great of an actress though. Or maybe she is, but I haven't seen many of her movies and she doesn't exactly have a role on Friends that really shows all that she can do. I voted for Schwimmer because he's great at controlling his voice, and amazing with physical comedy. He's also good with serious acting, like in The Pallbearer. I didn't think it was that great of a movie, but he was great in it.

Matt isn't the worst actor! I think it takes a great actor to play a really bad actor, and Joey is definantly a bad actor. But Matt LeBlanc plays him so well. I agree tht he wasn't the great in the first couple of seasons but that's because his character didn't really have a point, but he got much better as the series progressed.

ohh david. :cool: ross is so different than david, and only the actor can make it like that. he's great at the physical comedy and the dramatic scenes. tow the morning after was an AWESOME performance. and there was also this little scene in tow chandler gets caught where ross is talking about seeing monica and chandler through the window and feeling better. it wasn't long, but it was a nice little monologue.

for the girls it would be lisa kudrow. she's been the most consistent through the years, and no one can play phoebe like lisa. there's just something about her performance. :04:

I think all of them are great, and their performances in Friends are amazing, but if I have to choose one, I pick Jennifer Aniston. I had always thought that she was a fantastic comic actress, but when I saw her in The Good Girl I found out she can do anything she want: comedia or drama, it doesn't mind!! Even though I'm a huge Chandler / Matthew Perry fan I've said David Schwimmer because for me he made the annoying Ross really come to life. Boy that dude (Ross not David) annoyed me and I believe it takes a very skilled actor to pull of that kind of roll

i also think Lisa Kudrow doesn't get enough credit for her acting talents, her character would probably be the hardest to play on the show, but she is also a versatile actress.

To me, Jen, David and Lisa are the best actors of the six. They're the ones that have the most range and they are as good in drama as in comedy. From best to worst I'd say it goes like this:

First of all, they're all amazing. If one of them had been bad, then the show wouldn't have worked the way it did.

That being said, I voted for David Schwimmer. He can do it all: emotional, funny, physical comedy, dramatic - everything. I feel so bad for him that he is so underrated as an actor. He deserves much more credit IMO.

Aside from Friends, I recently saw Jen in "Derailed" and she blew me away. Amazing job.

definitely courteney!:D she can plays so much different characters, Friends(comedy) but if you watch Scream or Sketch artist, you can see she is very good at playing drama or fear!

She can play Monica this up tight neat freak but then when you see her in interviews and things she's nothing like that and it's just really great how she can play a character like that.

I picked Lisa Kudrow. She's a fantastic actress with alot of versatility. Her character on Friends is very very different to her real life persona and she pulls it off perfectly. And have any of you seen The Comeback? She should've won an Emmy for that, her acting was excellent.

I can't pick just one, but it's between Jen, David and Lisa. Those three have the most range among the cast. They are the ones who can play their parts on Friends better than anyone else could, but who can also play dramatic parts so well that it'll almost make you forget that they acted in a sitcom for 10 years! Judging by the results of the poll, I see that Lisa is VERY underrated and Matthew is overrated. I mean, sure he was the perfect Chandler and was great in the West Wing, but his movie roles didn't show that he can do anything else than comedy. I hope he does dramatic movies in the future, so we can see what kind of range he has.

He's so good at the comedy but also his serious acting has really improved. I really enjoyed the last couple of series when he did all the stuff with the fertility study and the adoption. That was really gripping stuff!
