Jen's Big Date: Oscar Night
|
Jennifer Aniston will make her first-ever Academy Awards appearance on March 5, where the former Friends star will serve as a presenter onstage at the Kodak Theatre.
The invitation from Oscars organizers is a big step for the former Friends star as she converts from TV star to film actress. Her most recent films were Derailed and Rumor Has It. This week in Sundance, her new movie, Friends With Money, premiered.
Other Oscar presenters already announced include last year's winners, Jamie Foxx and Hilary Swank, as well as Luke Wilson and Morgan Freeman.

FRIENDS might return to TV
|
Seminal sitcom FRIENDS is returning to television after each of its six stars agreed multi-million dollar deals to star in four one-hour specials.
In a secret meeting before Christmas (05), JENNIFER ANISTON, COURTENEY COX, LISA KUDROW, MATT LeBLANC, DAVID SCHWIMMER and MATTHEW PERRY reportedly agreed a $5 million (GBP2.7 million) apiece deal with NBC bosses in Los Angeles.
Scriptwriters have already started penning lines for the four double episodes, which are due to air this year.
Aniston, who has filmed a string of movies since the final Friends episode, was the last to agree to the new deal.
An NBC insider says, "She's the one who had been holding out. But she's now agreed to reprise RACHEL (GREEN).
"Bringing them back is a dream come true. Ratings will go through the roof."
Network bosses have also hinted at a second spin-off of the hit comedy, following the disappointing performance of Matt LeBlanc's show JOEY. The new programme will see the three male stars - Perry, Schwimmer and LeBlanc - pilot a series called IT'S A GUY THING.
An NBC spokesperson confirms, "Negotiations on future projects are going on all the time."

Jennifer Aniston Sues Paparazzi

Peter Brandt, the paparazzi being sued by Jennifer Aniston for capturing those topless photos of her, claims that the actress has no cause of action to bring forward her Violation of Right of Privacy complaint.
Brandt claims that Aniston's complaint doesn't really make sense. He also claims that it isn't very valid, because they've been over this already:
"The complaint does not state facts sufficient to constitute a cause of action, and the pleading is uncertain, ambiguous, and unintelligible."
Additionally this claim has already been decided in another case ... which held Aniston did not have a reasonable expectation of privacy with regard to a topless photo of herself because it was in the public domain."
